Realtor marketing is a crowded and hyper-competitive space. The only reason you even have a chance of competing with your realtor marketing to find more clients both who want to buy houses and listings of people who want to sell their houses is because it’s also local.

If realtors marketing and selling real estate was a nationwide game there would be very little way to compete either in SEO or pay per click marketing. The cost would simply be too astronomical.

But since you are playing in a local game you have only a finite amount of competitors in your local area.

You don’t have to worry about competing with realtor.com or Coldwell Banker or some of these other big national real estate agent chains and national realtor websites.

This means you as a little guy, just the one real estate agent out there can actually get some good results and generate some leads using the Internet. It is still very competitive because of the high commissions you get on each and every transaction.

When you’re making good money on each deal done that means there is more money that can be spent on advertising and so your competitors have this advantage. If you’re just getting started out I recommend you find a competent web marketing professional who can start an online marketing campaign for you to generate leads and jumpstart your business.

This will be far more fruitful than trying to do your own realtors marketing and learning everything from the ground up. It’ll just take way too long and your business is being a realtor not being in the online marketing world which is a completely separate skill set that takes years to master. And if you don’t have it mastered it can cost you a tremendous amount of money that you lose.
